Yesterday, I felt so sick I was in bed till 3:30, and back in it not too long after. Today I felt so sick, I stayed home from work. I worked half the day from home, so at least I didn't waste the whole day. I still feel kinda gross.... but in about an hour I'm gonna pop my last dose of Tylenol Flu (nighttime please!) and drift off to sleep!

Other than the whole sickness thing my weekend was productive.... around the house anyway. I wanted to get some paperwork done at the office, but that didn't work out as planned.

Alrightie! It's the middle of a thunderstorm and GOOOOOOD sleeping weather!

Oh, what a great day! First of all, HAPPY JUNE everyone! Do you believe it's JUNE already. How fast is this year going, it's crazy!

I had a wonderful work day today. There was so much accomplished, I love days like that! I love feeling organized. Phew. Tomorrow should be a breeze with all the extra work I got done today. Which...

...should start off my weekend right! OC Friday night till Sunday afternoon. Fun times ahead I'm sure! Never a dull moment, that's a given... as usual.

Well, getting up to run this morning did NOT happen. I got about 2 hours of sleep because it's so damn hot in this apartment that I kept waking up sweating. Gross. So tonight should be fun since it got up to 95 today! 95!

Tomorrow is Beer and Bocce at Rodgers - I wish it was 95 tomorrow - HELLO POOL! 85 is warm enough for that anyway - so whether it's pool or hot tub, I'm there. :-)

So, I went to Old Navy to return the 2 pair of Guachos that were too big. They had the size I needed is every color EXCEPT the white which I wanted. So I ended up getting the green, and a pair of white cropped (which technically I guess I already have white cropped, but they ARE different!) and also a khaki skirt which is quite cute actually. Oh, and let's not forget the maddness. I bought 8 pairs of flip flops! I just love 'em. And 2/$5?? Come on now! This Old Navy (unlike the one at home) actually had the flippies organized! So needless to say, there was no refund to my account...

Denise - I did get your message. I am so deeply sorry about Mia. I will talk to you soon. Love you. Miss you tons.

OH! Finally got a hold of Matthew. OC weekend is all set. According to him the Scoper boys are "hot" this year. Let's hope so, for my sake. :-) Oh, and I can hardly wait to meet his new girlfriend. Well, THIS won't be awkward at ALL.... ::shakes head::

Dre and I just got back from a walk. Which was nice - we haven't walked since Orlando. So hopefully we'll get back in the habit of doing that at night.

TOMORROW. Tuesday already, thank God. This week should go by fast.

Tomorrow - work, tanning, errand: gotta return some things to Filen's and Old Navy. Oh, and I should run to the dry cleaners to get my new suit pants hemmed.

Wednesday - work, tanning on lunch. Beer and Bocce at Rodger's after work.

Thursday - work, tanning, packing.

Friday - work, tanning on lunch(?), Ocean City baby!

Saturday/Sunday will be spent on the beach... NICE!!!

So needless to say - we're looking forward to the weekend. And the damn work week didn't even start! ::sigh::

I'm thinking I want to change the theme of my journal for the summer. These dark colors aren't working to fit my mood. Hmmm... I have an idea of look and feel, but I need a good "theme" or song or something... I'm sure something will come to me. Hopefully I'll get that up soon! :-)

Alright - I must go to sleep now. Waking up earlier than usual because I want to start running BEFORE work so it's not as hot. That's the plan at least. Let's see how THIS works. LOL.

Kie - this summer is filling up, but let's do a NYC day/Phili weekend and then you guys need to visit for a Baltimore weekend! The Mr. and Mrs. should come too! ;-) Love and miss you guys!

Ok - to put it simply, my life is just weird right now. WEIRD. That's the only word to explain it actually.

- still lovin' the job. Busy, busy, busy. Yes, I've turned into that work-aholic that I never wanted to be, but I love it. Half the time, I don't even feel like I'm working. Which is good, seeing as how I'm working about 12 hours a day!

- still single. Dreadfully. Not that it's a BAD thing, but I'm getting old people. As my mother sees it, I'm pretty much dried up. Yep, thanks mom. See - some things don't change.


Alright. New things. Last week I witnessed Jay and Coll getting married. ::sigh:: I cried alot. I am just so, so, so very happy for them.

On that note, I got to thinking about next year when Kiera and Steve get hitched. Holy hell. I am going to be a blubbering little baby. I mean, those 2 are both my best friends and watching them get married TO EACH OTHER is just a craziness that I can't even comprehend right now!

What else... what else...

This has been a beautiful holiday weekend. Too bad there was nowhere to go to use a pool! Next weekend is OC with Drea to vist the boys. And the next week I think Eric and I are going to the beach for... the beach! You can never have too much beach!

Today was kinda boring - as most days are lately. The biggest excitement was meeting up with Eric at the office to work on our presentation. But as I said, I'm happiest at work so it would figure.

Mom called while I was there - called me a work-a-holic. If the shoe fits... (Oooo... shoes....) :-)
Anyway - talked to dad later and when we go out to dinner on Wednesday, we're going to go car shopping. Not that I can afford that. But little ol' Shazam is not gonna make it much longer and I don't wanna be stuck on the side of the road when she decides to give up on me!

SO - we'll see what we can do. :-/

Alright - time to get out to the living room. It's almost that time and I want food!

Ironically, the place I'm happiest is work. Which IS a good thing - but I wish I could be as happy after 5pm as I am while I'm working. ::shrug::

SO... going to have to start looking for a part-time job. I really don't want to, but I can't afford to eat as of right now. I wish I would have left Kohl's on better terms now, I could go back there a start at a realatively high $/hour. But I can say with pretty much authority that that bridge is burned... at least at that store. Maybe one night a week and Sundays or something. That's at least gas and food. I think I might have to go back to the ramon noodle diet.

Alright, it's been awhile. So as I wait for my lunch to get done and my movie to start - let's chat.

Work is absoulutely crazy. Good crazy, but crazy.
It scares me sometimes how much I love my job, because I never thought I'd be this happy. And what is that saying - that 'as soon as you get what you want, you have something to lose'. Not that I'm scared to losing my job. Just afraid to not be happy again.

I only wish my personal life made me as happy as my professional life. I think sometimes I use work to fill that void. And that can only cause problems, in so many ways.

I'm in the process of finding a new car - because it's needed beyond belief. I love my Shazam, but she's served me well, and I really don't want to end up on the side of the road one of these days. ::sigh::

Money is still an issue. But, when is it not. Between the car, and bills and everything else - life is expensive.

I haven't been home since New Year's. It's almost two months already - isn't that crazy? No wonder why my mother is wanting me to come home. I saw dad after that when he was here on business. Honestly, I have absolutely no desire to go home. Is that wrong??

I think Dre and I are going to join Matt and the boys for a few nights in Nags Head. Is this smart? No. But it's the beach. :)

I can't wait till Spring. This cold-ness is annoying and warmth is long over-due. The winter hasn't been that bad (of course that 14 inches was fun last week), but I WANT SPRING. Skirt season, heels... Ahhh, yes. :-D

Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives are NEW tonight!! Yeah!! I already watched the first season since buying it Tuesday. RENT dvd this week! I can't wait!! Walk the Line comes out on the 28th as well! February was a good DVD month!! Oh, and without those - I'm now up to 190. This is a sickness. I caught it from Kiera! Hehe.

I FINALLY finished putting all my CDs on the computer. 4008 tracks, 255 hours, 45 minutes, 17 seconds. That's nuts.

Movie time. What to watch, what to watch? Hmmm... I already watched A LOT of Sex in the City, Drumline, Working Girl and Must Love Dogs. I was thinking "Raise Your Voice" but I don't know. We'll see, I'll let you know.

Princess Bailey's birthday party was so fun. Here actual birthday is today - the 13th. So I must call her on my lunch hour.
